Regis Mocks Wife Joy for Breaking Down While Performing (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Jan 31st 2011 2:00PM
On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), Regis Philbin mocks wife Joy for having "an emotional moment" during a nostalgic song that prevented her from finishing. But Joy counters by telling Regis he's ultimately to blame.

While performing, Joy found herself unable to complete a song called 'The Folks Who Live on the Hill' because it reminded her of Regis' recent announcement to leave his daytime show. "It was actually your fault," she said. "You made this announcement ... about your leaving the show and, so, now this song means more to me."

"There's only one thing you're thinking about: 'He's going to be home every day,'" Regis deadpanned.

"Right," Joy agreed.

Time for this show to say goodbye. Regis is a loud mouth Don Rickles wannabe. Kelly was a great replacement for Kathy Lee but her soap opera acting reeks.

She is a lovely woman ... Acting is one thing, being REAL is very much another. He just didn't know how to be funny about this... We all need alittle humility at the end of a segment of our lives in which his retirement from this show in this case, I believe she was thinking of this also... this has been a LONG one for her too ...reminising... can put a tear in real-peoples eyes... I know this, man or women ... it is all part of ...LIFE.... right? Get on with a wonderful new-life now, it is far from shedding a tear over ... all the money he has ... we all should have to worry about how Joy came over in her sweet ness... God Bless them both stay happy, and healthy!

I remember years ago when this moron was a flunky for Joey Bishop. He came out on stage one night on national TV on Bishops' show and announced that he was leaving the show because he was not being treated fairly....he was crying like a baby !!!!! Bishop was shocked at this. No one new this was coming. It was likeit happened yesterday... something that stays in your memory. And this talentless creep is still making it big in the industry.

Mocking someone, whether it's his wife or another entertainer is what Regis thrives on and he's worn that out. It's about time he's leaving and I hope Kelly goes, too. Daytime TV needs an overhaul with fresh new faces and a new format. Regis is boring, my 93 year old mother likes him-what does that tell you?
