Jon Stewart Thinks Sarah Palin Could Be a Russian Spy (VIDEO)
Jon Stewart doesn't think Sarah Palin's criticism of Barack Obama for using the phrase "Sputnik Moment" during his State of the Union address made any sense. In fact, on 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Stewart made the argument that Palin had so purposely misconstrued what Obama meant by a "Sputnik Moment" that it suggests Palin is actually a Russian agent."Who would purposely twist around historic facts, and put out such a willful misunderstanding of the president's words?" Stewart wondered. "I mean, you'd almost actually have to be a Soviet agent ... oh my God, Sarah Palin may be a Russian spy!"
First, he brought up how Palin had once slipped up during an interview and stated "we stand with our North Korean allies." Then he played clips of other interviews in which Palin had been so vague when answering basic questions about American history and government that it seemed like she hadn't actually grown up in America. Stewart also mentioned Palin's comfort in long northern winters and her favorite color being red.
To cap off his case, Stewart suggested it was no coincidence that Palin champions Mama Grizzlies, and that Russia's national personification is a bear.
Hey, we've heard crazier arguments.
