Kristen Bell'Veronica Mars' and 'Scream 4' star Kristen Bell could be heading back to TV screens for the fall 2011 season.

According to TVLine.com, Bell has signed on for a lead role in the Showtime pilot, 'House of Lies.'

The dark comedy is based on Martin Kihn's bestelling book, 'How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time,' and it revolves around dueling corporate management consulting firms.

Bell joins previously cast stars Don Cheadle ('Hotel Rwanda') and Dawn Olivieri ('Heroes'). She will reportedly play the part of Jeannie Van Der Hooven, a razor-sharp Ivy League grad who reluctantly finds herself attracted to her co-worker Marty (Cheadle).

The 'House of Lies' pilot has been generating a lot of buzz over the last few weeks. Matthew Carnahan ('Dirt') wrote the script, and Stephen Hopkins ('Californication') is attached to direct. The story is centered on Cheadle's character Marty, a self-loathing, highly successful management consultant at a top-tier firm, who'll use any means necessary to get his clients the information they want.

Ben Schwartz ('Parks & Recreation') and Josh Lawson ('Romantically Challenged') have already been cast as employees at Marty's firm, and Glynn Turman ('In Treatment') has signed on for the role of Marty's father. Olivieri will play Marty's crazy ex-wife, who is also his professional rival.
