'American Idol' judges on 'Oprah'Last week, 'American Idol' saw one of its most touching moments ever, when a 26-year-old contestant told the story of his fiancée, who suffered a severe brain injury in a car accident before they were to be married. Today, Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler were on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (Weekdays, Syndicated) talking about his impact.

None of them knew exactly how badly injured Medina's fiancée was until she was brought into the audition room in a wheelchair. "It just broke our hearts," said Lopez, "and she was a huge Steven Tyler fan. She was so overwhelmed when she saw Steven. This is the great thing about this show. It's about the people, it's about human experience and dreams."

Oprah agreed, saying what motivates people at home to vote is identifying with the different contestants. "They see a little bit of themselves," she said.
