Stephen Colbert Introduces Middle East Correspondent, Cat Named 'Christiane Aman-purr' (VIDEO)

Stephen Colbert is sick of psychic animals, like the octopus who predicted the World Cup, wasting their talents picking winners in sporting events when "they should be predicting real world events."With that, Colbert introduced 'The Colbert Report's' (weekdays, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central) senior Middle Eastern correspondent, a cat named Christiane Aman-purr.
"You are an expert on Egypt," Colbert told the cat, "in that you are worshiped as a God there."
However, when Colbert began peppering the cat with question about the embattled nation it had no response.
Next, Colbert tried to encourage the cat to give an opinion by confronting it with food-filled bowls labeled with different potential outcomes of the Egyptian crisis. Still, nothing.
So, in the end, the least hungry cat in the world wasn't able to provide any insight into what's next for Egypt. Which doesn't make it a whole lot different from many of the more loquacious pundits you see on TV analyzing the situation.
