'Smallville' Flies Off CW May 13, Michelle Obama to Appear on 'Regis & Kelly' and More

SmallvilleAfter 10 seasons, 'Smallville' will head up, up and away to TV heaven in a two-hour finale May 13. According to Zap2It, the series finale will see Clark taking on the DC Comics villain Darkseid.

"Paying homage to 10 seasons is no small task, and wrapping up each character and story arc has been extremely important to everyone involved in the show," Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson said in a statement. "We're excited to be able to make the final moments of 'Smallville' a television event, as the character we've grown up with makes his legendary transformation."

Michelle Obama will stop by 'Regis & Kelly.' Obama will be a guest on Wednesday's show to promote her Let's Move! campaign. This will be Obama's first time on the show. [TV Guide]

Debra Messing is in talks to join NBC's new pilot, 'Smash.' The series follows a group of professionals who come stage a Broadway play about Marilyn Monroe. Messing will play Julia, a lyricist. [TVLine]

Lifetime has ordered two new procedural pilots, 'Against the Wall' and 'Exit 19.' Treat Williams, Kathy Baker and Rachael Carpani star in 'Against the Wall,' a cop-family drama set in Chicago. 'Exit 19' stars Ally Walker as Gloria Shepherd, an NYPD detective and mom of two. [Deadline Hollywood]

Rose McGowan will guest star on 'Law & Order: SVU.' The 'Charmed' star will play a grifter named Cassandra who frequents a New York City swingers club. [TV Guide]
