Gabrielle Carteris Heading to 'The Event' and 5 Other '90s Stars We Want Back on TV

'Beverly Hills, 90210' veteran Gabrielle Carteris is returning to TV in several upcoming episodes of 'The Event.' Yep, Andrea Zuckerman will be playing an alien.According to TV Guide, Carteris will play Diane, an old friend of Michael Buchanan. When Michael and Sophia decide to hunt down Thomas in the March 21 episode, Michael leaves his kids in the care of Diane.
Carteris' upcoming turn on 'The Event' got the old nostalgia wheel turning. With Carteris on 'The Event' and Larisa Oleynik of 'Alex Mack' fame on 'Hawaii Five-0,' it's like a 1990s renaissance! Here are five other '90s TV stars we want -- no, need -- back on our TV screens for a spell.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas ('Home Improvement')
Yes, the one and only JTT. He made his last series TV appearance on 'Veronica Mars' (RIP, VM) in 2005, so 2011 is the perfect time for a comeback. Where he should go: 'The Good Wife.' Just think about it for a second: JTT as an old school friend of Cary's who is represented by Lockhart, Gardner & Bond.
Renee O'Connor ('Xena: Warrior Princess')Oh, Renee. So lovable as Gabrielle, then a few guest roles and SyFy TV movies later she was gone. She displayed great range on 'Xena,' a master of both comedy and drama. Where she should go: 'The Walking Dead.' Throw her in the mix with this group of dirty and desperate zombie fighters. Make sure she has plenty of scenes with Andrea (Laurie Holden). Alternative: 'Parks and Recreation.' Andy's sister, perhaps?
Lori Beth Denberg ('All That')
After years of presenting us with some very vital information on 'All That,' Denberg went on to 'The Steve Harvey Show' and the flick 'Dodgeball.' Where she should go: 'The Middle.' On 'All That' Denberg displayed some very endearing kookiness that would align quite well with the ABC series.
Ben Savage ('Boy Meets World')Millions of fans grew up with Savage as Cory Matthews -- actually, millions still watch his adventures in syndication. He popped up on 'Chuck' and 'Without a Trace' a few years ago, but we want more
Staci Keanan ('Step by Step')
As the snarky Dana, she warmed our hearts on 'Step by Step.' Since then, she's popped up in background roles in a couple of flicks, but her sardonic wit has been missed on TV. Where she should go: 'Nurse Jackie.' Just think of the chemistry she and Edie Falco could have ...
Tell us: What '90s star do you want to see return to TV?
