Debbie Reynolds was still married to Eddie Fisher when Fisher and Elizabeth Taylor first got together. Reynolds' daughter Carrie Fisher has talked about the relationship in her one-woman show, 'Wishful Drinking,' and Tuesday on 'Oprah' (Weekdays, Syndicated), Reynolds addressed an even more personal question.Oprah showed a clip of 'Drinking' where Carrie said that her father had consoled Taylor in a variety of ways. "He consoled her with flowers," said Carrie in the clip, "and ultimately, he consoled her with his penis."
When they came back from the clip, Reynolds, sitting next to her daughter, held up her thumb and forefinger to indicate a measurement less than flattering to Eddie Fisher. As the audience laughed, she stopped and demurely padded her hair.
"So you're saying there wasn't much consolation there," joked Oprah.
They also discussed the pressure to get a divorce so Eddie Fisher and Taylor could be together. "I said they didn't need a divorce, they could just go ahead and screw," said Reynolds.
"You're such a romantic, mother," said Carrie.
