@D.C.: Listen closely to her speak. She sounds breathless and desperate. This is all about Kate and her needs not the children. Why can't she make it on her own without her kids? The reason is because she has zero talent unless you can tell me what it is that warrants her on t.v. If you want to watch a bunch of kids go to the park because her show offers nothing. If you have kids I feel sorry for them.

This woman is a pariah. Why is she still such a media darling? It's unbelievable!

Of course Gosselyn has no regrets. First, she has an incredibly narcisstic delusion that everything she does is fabulous. Second, all reports are she's flat broke and desperate for money after having too many $1,000 hair styling and manicure treatments. Thirdly, her eight kids haven't had a chance to turn 16 years old yet so they had the chance to get pregnant and messed up on drugs yet. Just wait.

Well, gee, I wonder why? Could it be that there's a big difference between a reality show with young children and a regular TV seriews with a child that's several years older? Let's see how the next decade affects both Miley and her kids. I bet things don't turn out to be much different for either family.

As for the comment on how it paid for her hair, gym memberships and other things - once the show did get popular her hair was a joke to many and her hair extensions were first put in for a photo shoot for People so I'd think they paid for that first round. They have gym equipment in their home and running around after 8 kids helps too. She had a tummy tuck, but that was free because a women who watched their documentary on Discovery told her husband and they did it for free. She does speaking engagements and has written 3 books plus got a paycheck from DWTS - so she makes money beyond the show. She has help with the kids sure, but I know with 8 kids I'd need a little help and if she had a normal job she'd have to have a lot more time that the kids would be with nannies . So this seems like a pretty good job to me. She's not a perfect woman, but who is?
And again going in to this it was really just like a way to get paid for home movies. They have moments of their kids lives that would never have been captured because as a parent of 8 how would you be able to get the camera out every time one of the kids did something. If Jon would of been able to keep it in his pants and then not go nuts with his Ed Hardy, lady hopping ways there would of been none of this criticism cause most of America would never of heard of this family
Just my thoughts

People forget that this show started as a small, simple show that showed them going to local amusement parks, birthday parties, movie night at home and other first in their lives. It was sweet watching them play out in the driveway or going to the zoo. It was about Jon cooking Korean food for the family or Kate talking about using coupons. It wasn't til Jon got caught with another woman did the media pick up on this show and the paparazzi started camping out in front of their home. No one could of imagined a little show on TLC could of got this much publicity (which only big show had been Trading Spaces and it wasn't as high rated as that show was). The show has provided a home and many opportunities that a family of 10 would either struggle or never be able to partake in. Yes, the media got bad - but stopping the show wouldn't of stopped the media. Time has taken care of the more insane attention given to the family. The kids are adorable and as a viewer seem to be handling life quite well. Would it be better to rip the crew out of their life that they have come to love as family or take away chances to go visit Alaska, Australia and more (cause really the show is like a fun little vacation show now). I admit Kate has had her moments of being bossy to Jon (during the first few seasons, but what marriage didn't have those moments). I think most people who judge the show never really watched it. The show is fun but yeah makes them money - who wouldn't want a job were you spend time with your kids. Yes she goes on press tours, but don't other parents travel for their jobs too.

Of course she has NO regrets! Those kids paid for her hair extensions, fake tan, gym membership, clothing, etc...but more importantly, they allow her the freedom to be able to pay for NUMEROUS nannies and let someone else raise her kids! Way to go, Kate!
