Lifetime to Reunite Soldiers With Their Families in New Reality Show
Lifetime should add a "tissues at the ready" warning to its newest series, because you'll certainly be in tears by the end of each episode. In the good way, we swear.According to Entertainment Weekly, the network just ordered a new reality series called 'Coming Home,' which follows soldiers who surprise their families by returning unannounced after their tours of duty.
Each hour-long episode will feature five soldiers reuniting with their loved ones, in the vein of the popular YouTube videos. 'Coming Home,' hosted by 'American Idol' season 3 finalist Matt Rogers, premieres Sunday, March 6 at 10PM ET.
In other news, why hasn't anyone showed me these videos before? (Probably because crying like a baby at 2PM is really inappropriate for the office.) Seriously, I could spend all day scanning YouTube for these feel-good clips. The parent/child ones really get me, but the spouse reuniuons are pretty excellent too. If you're having a bad day, you will surely feel at least 25 percent better after watching one of these videos.
Check out a montage of some great clips below, but watch at your own risk -- we don't have enough tissues to go around. (We recommend pressing the "mute" button to get rid of the sappy music. The shocked faces really speak for themselves.)
