Ricky Gervais Tells a Bartender About His Fame and Riches on 'The Simpsons' (VIDEO)

Ricky Gervais, 'The Simpsons' Golden GlobesRicky Gervais isn't done being smug at the Golden Globes just yet. He made a second "appearance" of the yellow variety there when he guested on 'The Simpsons' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX). He proceeded to chat up the bartender with much the same kindness he saved for the Hollywood elite.

But, since he's dealing with a common working man this time, he can be even more smug and condescending. "You missed it, but I just put a tip in there," he said when the bartender turned away. "A big one. Double digits. Ten. The lowest of the double digits, but nevertheless, ten dollars. So, a lot of money to you. Less to me, but ten dollars nonetheless."

Gervais continued to give the bartender much of the same for awhile while the bartender looked as if he could care less. Then Gervais caused a distraction, fetched back his tip and sauntered off. It was certainly a fun appearance, for any who appreciate Gervais's humor.

Actually, those who don't like him might just feel validated as well in seeing that he basically comes across like a Class-A tool here. Of course, if you've seen him in the original version of 'The Office' or 'Extras,' you know that being a jerk is kind of his thing. He's very, very good at it.

Also, we loved the subtle touch of the picture of Gervais at the bar reading "Do Not Allow This Man to Host." And we're impressed that 'The Simpsons' is talking about what happened at the 2011 Golden Globers and it isn't 2015.
