Senator Scott Brown Did 'Cosmo' Centerfold to Pay for Law School (VIDEO)

Scott Brown Talks 'Cosmo' Centerfold on 'View'Political differences aside, all the ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) agree Republican Senator Scott Brown is hot. (Whoopi Goldberg last year said he "rang [her] bell.")

With Brown seated on the 'View' couch, images from his moment as a 'Cosmopolitan' centerfold flashed up on the screen behind him. Sherri Shepherd asked why he posed nearly naked for the magazine.

"I basically had nothing ... I needed to pay for law school. I wanted to be a lawyer. The opportunity came along. I did it. I don't regret it," Brown said, his reasoning similar to many a Playboy Playmate's (minus the law school perhaps). "I never would have been here with you guys, ultimately."

Shepherd then asked whether doing the photo spread hindered his being taken seriously, as often happens when women pose nude. "It was 30 years ago, and I'm a lieutenant colonel in the military [now]." And given he won the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat, evidently plenty of Americans take him seriously.

Without regard for his political positions, I think this choice was a poor one for Brown. It speaks to his character and I find it hypocritical that he'd do this and then stand on conservative principals. He sends a message to others that when you're broke, anything goes. Is that really the message he'd support now?? Poor choice Brown.....very poor choice.
(see.....even those in the GOP think his decision was morally vacant)

If a Democrat had done the same, the GOP would have railed about the lack of morality.
