Who Should Go on 'Dancing With the Stars'? Our Dream Picks for Season 12
It's that time again! Yes, 'Dancing With the Stars' is right around the corner. So far we've heard very little buzz about who will be strapping on their dancing shoes and busting out a jive in hopes of winning the mirrorball trophy, but we can dream, right? After creating mega-buzz and controversy casting contestants such as Kate Gosselin, Jennifer Grey, Bristol Palin and 'Jersey Shore' star The Situation,' is there anybody that can top them? You betcha!
Read on for our list of dream 'Dancing' contestants and weigh in with your picks!
Camille GrammerStar of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and ex-wife of 'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer, Camille made quite the splash across tabloids this year. She'll appear on '$#*! My Dad Says' and seems to want to get back into the industry. 'Dancing' would be the perfect place for her to shed the image she claims Bravo crafted for her.
ShaqThe basketballer would be the biggest athletic get for the show. His sporting world profile never recovered from his departure of the Lakers. Plus, he's all about doing different things. After all, he conducted the Boston Pops.
Lynda CarterYou don't get much more iconic than Lynda Carter, star of 'Wonder Woman.' Now that NBC is working on a pilot for a 'Wonder Woman' show, Carter is fresh on the minds of fans. Just think, Carter is spun around, taking center stage, then rips off the boring costume to reveal a very red, white and blue number. Ratings gold!
T.J. LavinThe BMXer and reality TV personality has made an incredible recovery since his bike accident in October. The public would sure support him, overcoming the odds is a trademark 'DWTS' contestant characteristic.
Joy BeharEvery season needs a funnylady. Behar is pretty busy with 'The View' and her own CNN series 'The Joy Behar Show,' but her charisma would exude on the dance floor. She's divisive, not afraid to piss people off, just the kind of person 'DWTS' needs.
Michael KeatonWe haven't seen much of the former 'Batman' lately, but he's still a respected name in Hollywood. Seeing him on 'Dancing With the Stars' would be a lot better than seeing him star in a string of failed sitcoms.
Shirley JonesLast season we had Carol Brady, so it's time mama 'Partridge' strutted her stuff! Her musical experience would give her a bit of an edge, but something tells us fans won't be crying "ringer!" if she were to join the competition.
Demi Lovato'DWTS' loves the Disney kids, that's a pure fact. There's no other Disney star in need of some image rehab than Lovato, thanks to her stint in actual rehab. Going 'Dancing' would show the general public she's back to being family-friendly and the show thrives on comeback stories.
Brett FavreAs much as some people want him to go away, he'd be a ratings draw for 'Dancing With the Stars.' Plus, like we've said about other contestants: image overhaul.
William ShatnerWith '$#*! My Dad Says' on the cancellation bubble, we'd love to see the Shat go 'Dancing.' He's charismatic, knows his audience and most important he knows how to promote himself.
Mel GibsonPutting him in the same league as Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin seems unfair, but hey, that's the kind of controversy he'd create on the series. Gibson would be the biggest get of the series ever, apart from Lindsay Lohan of course. Would he do it? Probably not, but we're dreaming here!
