Iyanla Vanzant and Oprah Crack Up Over Vanzant's Shabby Clothes (VIDEO)

Iyanla Vanzant on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'A week ago, Oprah Winfrey and Iyanla Vanzant playfully butted heads over Vanzant's departure from the show in 1999. This week, there was more laughter as Vanzant, Winfrey's former relationship expert, was back on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) to talk a bit more about her own life.

The conversation turned to Vanzant's shortcomings in managing her money, and a pre-taped clip drove the point home. "I didn't really have a clear understanding of the value of money," said Vanzant in the clip, "other than: You need it, you get it, you spend it."

At one point, the clip showed Vanzant walking through the woods in a shabby coat and hat. When the camera came back to the studio, Winfrey and Vanzant were both laughing. "Roll that again," said Winfrey, "Because we were looking at her in the long coat and the scarf and the hat."

They rolled the shot again, further cracking up Winfrey and Vanzant. "I'm not that broke, I swear," said Vanzant, swearing she was just puttering around at home, and she was going to kill the producer for airing that.

Hi! Iyanla--it was great seeing the healing and process that happened between you and Oprah this week and last. Life is a journey and only when you learn lessons inside and out can you teach it to others. The ability to laugh at yourself is a wonderful trait too.
I'm sorry your Daughter died and the pain it caused.
I get what you said about not understanding inside why Oprah let you take the stage. Many women will be inspired by this teaching and openess by both of you-thank you for that! Blessings, Gerri
