With the power of today's technology, we can experience things that just wouldn't otherwise be possible. The modern era's favorite Oscar host presented just such an opportunity at 'The 83rd Annual Academy Awards' (Sun., 8:30PM on ABC) by allowing us a glimpse into a world where Oscar's all-time favorite host could preside again.

Billy Crystal came out and slid easily into the hosting position, cracking jokes about the show running long and poking fun at his own Hollywood leading man looks.

He told a story about a connection he shared with 18-time Oscars host Bob Hope at the Academy Awards. Crystal was hosting and Hope shared a special gesture with him on-camera, and then a different one off.

He then asked us to imagine what it would be like if Hope could host again, before the magic of technology allowed just that to happen. Hope cracked a few of his classic Oscars jokes before introducing Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law to present the award, appropriately, for Visual Effects.
