Only registered, eligible peer voters received a ballot with the full list of all entrants submitted from each show. The voter could check off as many candidates as they believed worthy of Emmy consideration.
What that means for us soap fans is that the actors who are not mentioned above were overlooked by the Emmy voters. Well, better luck next year. The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy nominations will be announced on Wednesday, May 11, and the awards will be presented on Sunday, June 19, from Las Vegas.
Brown Out on B&BThree-time Emmy winner Sarah Brown has been dropped to recurring status on 'The Bold and the Beautiful.' This isn't a big surprise, especially for those who watched last week's new opening credits for B&B -- which left out Brown.
Also, Brown's character, Aggie Jones, has been stuck on a back burner for months. Even when her lover, Nick, went through his recent cancer scare and smoking addiction struggles, Aggie was barely involved. That was a tell-tale sign that something was amiss.
It's a shame, really, because Brown is an award-winning actress who's capable of a big-time storyline. Unfortunately, with only a 30-minute timeslot, B&B has trouble finding time for all the talent on the show. Brown will continue appearing on the soap as a non-contract player, but she is reportedly looking for primetime and/or feature work.
