'Castle' (Monday, 10PM ET on ABC) has its unrequited-feelings storyline down to a science. Last week Castle almost admitted to having feelings for Beckett, and this week saw their roles reversed.

The action picked up with the pair still locked and dying in that freezer. Castle apologized for getting Beckett into this mess in the first place, but she was having none of that.

With her final breaths before unconsciousness took her, she came so close to saying what fans of the show have been waiting to hear from one of them.

"Just wanted you to know how much I l--"

Castle simply pleaded with her to stay with him, stay with him until they could get out of this mess. Of course, they did, though it wasn't the method he joked about with our own Maggie Furlong. But in that moment of vulnerability fans came so close to feelings being revealed. And that's a step.
