Annie Potts, Leslie Bibb Get Lead Roles in ABC Pilot, 'Mad Men' Vet Boards 'Grace' and More

Annie Potts, Leslie Bibb Get Lead Roles in ABC PilotLeslie Bibb and Annie Potts have booked leading roles in ABC's 'Good Christian Bitches' pilot.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'Popular' alumna Bibb will play Amanda, a divorced mom of two. She moves back to her childhood neighborhood and finds herself at the center of gossip.

'Ghostbusters' veteran Potts will play Bibb's overbearing mother. Deadline reports she fielded three pilot offers and has been approached to guest star on The CW's 'Hart of Dixie.'

In other casting news ...

Jamie King has joined the cast of The CW's 'Hart of Dixie.' King will play a debutante-type woman opposite Rachel Bilson. [Deadline]

Stephen Tobolowsky will star opposite Minnie Driver in 'Hail Mary.' Tobolowsky will play the role of Cox in drama about a mom and hustler private investigator duo. [Hollywood Reporter]

Christina Ricci has signed on the dotted line for 'Pan Am.' Ricci will play Maggie, a flight attendant in the sky and an earthy bohemian on the ground. [Deadline]

Ed Burns has signed to star in '40.' The new pilot from 'Entourage' creator Doug Ellin follows a group of friends who have just hit their 40s. [TV Guide]

'Mad Men' veteran Abigail Spencer will star in 'Grace.' Rhys Darby of 'Flight of the Conchords' will star in 'How To Be a Gentleman' and Emily Rutherfurd will star in 'The Assistants.' [Deadline, Deadline]

Michael Zegen has joined 'Boardwalk Empire.' The 'Rescue Me' actor will play gangster Bugsy Siegel. [TVLine]

Very Disgusting ABC, yea I think just for the thought of it I will never watch your network, you should be ashamed of yourselves, i dont see you even thinking about naming a show Muslim Bit@hes

How can ABC have a show titled "Good Christian Bitches?" Doesn't the FCC have a rule about obscenities? This title would show up in commercials as well as on the guilde you see on the TV. There are children who would see that over and over without ever watching the program. Ridiculous.
