Charlie Sheen '20/20' Interview: 'I'm Bi-Winning!' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 2nd 2011 9:33AM
Charlie Sheen, '20/20'Not content to just allow Charlie Sheen to ramble on unanalyzed, '20/20' (Tue., 10PM ET on ABC) brought in a behavioral expert to analyze their interview with the actor to see if there's any merit to the theories circulating that he may suffer from bipolar disorder.

When asked directly about it, Sheen responded, "And then what? What's the cure? Medicine? Make me like them? Not going to happen."

He then broke it down further, denying the possiblity because it usually involves up and down swings. "I'm bi-winning. I win here and I win there," he said. "Now what? If I'm bipolar, aren't there moments where a guy like crashes in the corner like, 'Oh my god, it's all my mom's fault!'"

In explaining bipolar disorder, '20/20's expert said, "It can be characterized by a decreased need for sleep, a lot of agitation or energy, arrogance, a sense of having special powers."

Unfortunately, as he explained it, the same symptoms can also be seen in someone who's intoxicated on drugs, or even detoxing from them. So while Sheen may have a clean bill of health, he could be in a withdrawal stage from whatever he was doing and/or using.

Here's a sweet Team Sheen shirt that reveals the secret of winning and proves Charlie has tigerblood flowing through his veins.

He lost custody of his children, yet he is oblivious to any part he has played in his families situation. When he gets his head straight he will be horrified at what he has done. No emotionally stable person would find him appealing at all. It is sad that his children have to pay for his bad choices.

I agree with Sheen's assessment of person's throwing out the Bipolar diagnosis, or any diagnosis for that matter, without even KNOWING Sheen or having a full, comprehensive clinical interview! Many symptons are patterned with various changes in life style that mimic eachother as particular disorders. We are also a media frenzied world that is as much out of control as Charlie-at least from where I sit....

Great thing about America is our individual freedom of choice. We all have the ability to change the channel.

Personally, I am not going to spend another Two And A Half Seconds on anything Sheen.

In my humble opinion, Charlie Sheen does not appear to know, much less acknowledge he has a problem. Drugs and drinking just exacerbate the problem. He needs to work on himself, and getting out of the spotlight. Medicine is not a cure, but it is a neccesity. People go misdiagnosed everday. Where's his support system? Is there nobody in control!?? There's definitely a personality problem going on, somebody needs to help him, before it's too late. He can't do it alone, it's too big. Somebody ,family, doctors, someone step in..please.!

Charlie the first cue you may be Bipolar is your denial. Next take a moment and reflect on your past. Lastly, so many of us struggle day to day to provide an average living for our family, you have been blessed to have a great life, stop wasting it and BUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
