On 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), host Jon Stewart pointed out that no major GOP candidate has yet declared they are running for President, whereas at the same time in the 2008 cycle, 12 had already staked their claim. Then Stewart discussed all the Republicans who might eventually toss their hat into the ring. When he got to Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, who stands a generous 5'7" tall and has a comb-over style haircut, Stewart played a clip of Daniels acknowledging he doesn't look like the typical President.
"Sure, if it comes down to height and hair, I probably wouldn't do very well," Daniels said of his presidential chances in the clip.
"I got bad news for you, sir," Stewart responded to the clip. "It comes down to height and hair."
"As a matter of fact, you might want to talk to Mike Bloomberg to see if the two of you can run as one individual," Stewart continued.
As Stewart made this recommendation, he displayed a picture of Mitch Daniels stacked on top of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, another diminutive politician who is sometimes discussed as a potential Presidential candidate.
And before anyone jumps on Stewart for making such a heightist joke, remember: Stewart also only stands a generous 5'7", so he's allowed to.
