Bret Michaels: Charlie Sheen 'Openly Admits He Fights Demons' (VIDEO)

Bret Michaels and Charlie SheenPoison frontman and 'Celebrity Apprentice' winner Bret Michaels has long been Charlie Sheen's close friend and sometimes partner in mayhem. During an appearance on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (Weeknights, 9PM ET on CNN), Michaels expressed concern for his good buddy.

"I'm going to say this, and I'm not being politically correct," Michaels responded when Morgan asked what he makes of the current Charlie Sheen situation.

"The Charlie that I know ... he's a really great guy, and openly admits he fights demons, right?" Michaels continued. "And the same drive that makes a person like myself or Charlie go out there and be nothing but great with the public, nothing but great with acting, is the same drive that can make you crazy."



Michaels added that there is no short-term fix, like rehab, for Sheen's problems, and only a long process of "working out those demons" will make Sheen better.

Mark, the "demons" to which people like Brett refer are not meant to be literal--it is a figure of speech that refers to our dualistic nature. "Inner demons" are, by definition, the conflicts within ourselves.

if he was someone that was not in the public eye all the time he could live his life the way he wanted to and if he can handel his life style and keep both woman happy so be it. that kind of life style is not for me but if they are happy let them be and as for as the kids they are going to grow up the way they want to the reason the kids think the way they think is because of the people around them telling them this is not right.

There are no inner "demons" taking control of our lives,emotions.It is fanciful speech but not helpful. That speech is dis-empowering for none of us could deal with demonic forces if they existed. It may seem like demons if you do not know what is causing your problems.Nothing you do will seem to help until you clearly recognize what is causing your problems.Self-esteem issues afflict people who seem to have it all as well as the rest of us.

Bret-what's up with the rag around your head? What are you hiding?
Shame on the networks for showing Sheen's mania. The man is not well. Bipolar -probably. Remember Britney's shaving her head?
This must be agonizing for Martin Sheen and family.
Mental health intervention anyone? He has proven to be a risk to himself & others. PLEASE get this guy some help
before someone gets hurt. Stop snickering! And help this guy.
