'Celebrity Rehab' Season 5 Casting Rumors

by Catherine Lawson, posted Mar 3rd 2011 7:50AM
Michael LohanShooting started Wednesday on the new season of 'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew' and reports from the set suggest Dr. Drew will have his hands full with the new cast. According to reports, there's a Lohan, a 'Baywatch' star, a former New York baseball great, and at least two 'Real Housewives.'

The show has apparently been after Lindsay Lohan for years without success. However, producers have reportedly nabbed her father and are hoping that Lindsay and/or her mom Dina will appear on the show for some "family counseling."

According to RadarOnline.com Michael Lohan has checked into 'Celebrity Rehab' to deal with his anger management issues, not drugs- or alcohol-related problems.

A source said that he is "absolutely 100 percent sober. ... Michael has tremendous admiration for Dr. Drew, and was given this opportunity to better himself, and he took it."

Just don't hold your breath waiting for the Lohans to appear en famille -- TMZ reports that Lindsey's not taking the news too well. She was apparently "shocked and upset" when she found out, and has told friends she's worried her dad will embarrass the family.

TMZ also reports that Michael Lohan will be joined in the 21-day 'Rehab' program by former 'Real Housewives of D.C.' and White House gatecrashers Michaele and Tariq Salahi, who have been looking for a new TV gig since being dropped by Bravo.

Rounding out the cast are 'Baywatch' star Jeremy Jackson and former New York Mets pitching great, Dwight "Doc" Gooden, both of who have battled drug problems in the past. The final rumored cast member is Chinese-born actress and 'Lost' alum, Bai Ling.

I am very disappointed in Dr Drew. This show is supposed to be about celebrities. On resent episodes he had porn women on them. They are not celebrities. In this series he has Amy Fisher. I cannot believe he has her on the show. She is an attempted murderer. She is now a porn star with fake plastic surgery. She shouldn't be labeled as a celebrity!!! I understand she needs to get clean however she needs to be treated like everyone else not no celebrity. She must have not had a bad time in prison due to she states in one episode that it is like prison being there. For God Sake she shot a woman in the head. That woman had to have all sorts of plastic surgery just to look back to normal. Amy fisher has duck lips and a boob job from what being a porn skank. I love Steve Adler I think he is an awesome drummer. Guns N Roses was not the same without him. I hope he gets clean and stays clean. I loved what he told Amy lol. He states I have done everything she has done except for shoot someone in the head. I am tired of Amy crying acting as though poor her she was dragged down with media attention and was labeled a bad person. The media didn't do that she did. If she didn't shoot someone in the head she would have never been labeled that. She made money off of books, movies and shows for what she has done oh poor her. I can care less if she is clean and sober. How else can a person live with themselves that feel sorry for themselves instead of looking at the damage she has done. All the money she spent on those boobs and lips should have went to Mary Jo. What is next on the show a serial killer who wants to get clean in prison. This show is supposed to be about celebrities not murderers. Dr Drew is just in this for himself. He wants the ratings and will get it anyway he knows how to. It is all about the money.

Amy Fisher is a sad and pitiable figure in the American landscape. No doubt manipulated and abused by a lecherous older man, yet she remains a convicted felon who attempted to murder someone, and admittedly shot another person in the face. She is not a celebrity and elevating her thus provides an avenue by which similarly sick individuals may see a means to "copy cat" their way to stardom and attention.

Oh did I forget to mention Bai Ling the woman who surpassed Yoko Ono as Most Annoying and Talentless Asian Artist?

They've definitely jumped the shark with this pathetic cast. Every season there have been one or two who were there more for publicity than recovery but with this bunch, along with rumored additions Sean Young and Amy Fisher, you get nothing but attention addicts. Sorry to see Steve Adler back. Probably the next pick in the Celebrity Rehab death pool.

Anger Management

The Lohans have a huge habit of seeking publicity with outrageous behaviors. We engage in habits without thinking about them. They still need to take responsibility for their actions and words, but I hope that the 'public' therapy will help Michael start to understand himself and get a grip.

All of the LOHANS need a whole truck load of therapy. Good for him to at least try.
