Jon Stewart Mocks Muammar Qaddafi's 'Existential' Attitude (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Mar 3rd 2011 5:15AM
Jon Stewart continued his 'Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) comedic assault on Col. Muammar Qaddafi Wednesday, offering a funny rebuttal to a clip of the embattled Libyan dictator claiming that he is not in charge of Libya because no such position exists."How can I step down, what from?" Qaddafi's English translator said in the clip. "I have no post to step down from. I don't have any position. I don't lead Libya. Libya does not have a leader or president or king. Libya is a state of the masses."
"Whoa, that is some existential bulls--t," was what Stewart had to say about that.
"You can't fire Muammar Qaddafi, because Muammar Qaddafi does not exist," Stewart mocked, in the voice of the translator, cracking the audience up.
Qaddafi's eventual demise will be a great day for humanity, but not a particularly good one for comedy.
