To the sponsors of Sister Wives--I didn't write in on the first season because I didn't think there would be any interest in such a degrading show. Evidently I was wrong, or maybe America just needs someone to boldly speak up--rather write up about it. WELL, HERE I AM! I am going to make it my personal mission to write every religous organization, every church that I have an address for, pick addresses at random from the telephone directory and ask everyone that I know personally to watch the show once and stop purchasing those produicts, In the letter, I'm also going to ask them to chain write and do the same . If these people want to do this in their lives, fine. I'm not going to make them rich by watching it or supporting the products that sponsor the show. Any woman that degrades themselves by accepting this so called man is truly in need of help. You can't tell me that the other three are all content and joyous while their supposedly husband is laying in bed with another woman in the same house. How sick can you be in this day and time? What makes it so bad is the way he looks! He's not even close to being cute, or having a nice body. And believe me, it can't be that good, and I'm sure he doesn't have enough to go around. What's worst of all, what are they teaching the children? Men are dogs like that--it's alright to have two or more women at one time. That is exactly the way dogs interact. You would think they would want their children to respect themselves more. Their ought to be some type of law the prevents the children from being subjected to this type of environment. Well, I'm certainly going to do my part to prevent this destestable show from continuing to spread its poison to America!

So what is the difference in having 4 Wives... or 1 wife and 3 girlfriends... or 4 girlfriends... or an open marriage... or being a swinger.

Marriage needs to be defined. Is it a religious institution? In that case freedom or religion means he can have as many wives as his religion permits. Is it a legal institution? In that case the only marriage that counts is the one accepted by the state. It does not matter if me has non-legal mirages on the side.

Are they trying to define marriage by having children of multiple woman? How is that different from the millions of people who have married, divorced, married again... etc and have children from multiple marriages that they must attend to.

Anti-polygamy laws are little different then anti-gay laws. Regardless if the state wishes to "recognize" them or not they should not be investigating what people do in their private lives.

Anti-polygamy laws are on very shaky ground in light of the reality of society.
