'SNL': Miley Cyrus as Justin Bieber on 'The Miley Cyrus Show' ... It's Pretty Cool! (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus as Justin Bieber on 'The Miley Cyrus Show,' 'Saturday Night Live'The moment fans heard that Miley Cyrus had been tapped to host 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC) they wondered if she'd butt heads with 'SNL's resident "Miley," Vanessa Bayer. A new featured player this season, Bayer's most popular skit is a parody of Cyrus's persona in her own talk show.

But rather than go down the fairly easy route of having the real Miley Cyrus interrupt Bayer's 'The Miley Cyrus Show,' we got a far more entertaining twist on celebrity impressions. When Bayer introduced her first guest, out strolled Cyrus as teen pop sensation Justin Bieber.

She did a great job of mimicking his various gestures, even calling them out as she did so, while keeping a straight face at Bayer's outrageous impression of her.

In a slightly odd moment, Cyrus seemed to break character at one point to defend her salvia-smoking incident from November 2010. While talking about changing and growing up, Bayer said, as Miley, "So you're growing up. Like me, doing salvia. Did you know I smoked salvia?"

Cyrus then, as Justin, turned directly to the camera with her response. "You know, well there's no reason why you wouldn't. Because it's totally legal, yo."

Bayer then picked it up and they went on like nothing had happened. It was odd, considering Cyrus's opening monologue song seemed to also be about defending her various tabloid actions over the years, that she thought of 'SNL' as a venue to try and set the record straight.

This is a very odd video. Not really funny. Kind of annoying actually.
