Rod Blagojevich Plays 'Warlord' in 'Daily Show' Sketch on Wisconsin Labor Dispute (VIDEO)

'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) sent correspondent John Oliver to the part of Illinois where 14 Democratic state senators from neighboring Wisconsin are hiding out rather than face a vote on a bill Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has proposed, which eliminates the ability of many state workers to collective bargaining. The premise of the sketch was that Oliver was in a place called "Ill-in-o-is, a desolate lawless region," and his "reporting" was in the style of a war correspondent who had found himself in a strange and dangerous land.
After doing such things as treating a fast food takeout window as if it was a military checkpoint, Oliver revealed that he'd "arranged a meeting with a notorious former warlord" because "apparently no one knows the region better than him."
"Oh boy, wow," Oliver exclaimed when he approached the warlord, who turned out to be none other than former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
"Hello, welcome to Illinois," said Blagojevich, before defending workers' rights to collective bargaining, and doing so in the profane style that helped make him infamous.
That Blago, he's incorrigible.
