Michaele Salahi Kicked Out of 'Celebrity Rehab'

by Jean Bentley, posted Mar 9th 2011 10:30AM
Michaele Salahi'Real Housewives of D.C.' star and White House party crasher Michaele Salahi forgot one very important thing when she signed up for the newest season of VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew': an addiction.

That's why she was booted from the show yesterday, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"The treatment program that 'Celebrity Rehab' documents is intended for individuals with serious substance abuse and addiction issues," VH1 announced in a statement. "Prior to the taping of the current season, producers were advised that Michaele Salahi met the criteria to be treated in this setting. However, professional assessments spanning from that time to the present found that she did not meet such criteria. As a result, she is no longer participating in the program."

However, Michaele's husband, Tareq, told RadarOnline that his wife went on the show to get treatment for her multiple sclerosis from Dr. Drew Pinsky.

"She was really leaning on Dr. Drew who is a respected doctor to get her through some of the issues after the White House, when she went to Congress, when she went into relapse with her Multiple Sclerosis," he told Radar. "She takes this very seriously."

Salahi said he's planning an expose on the show with ABC News. "My wife takes her health situation very seriously, she has a real diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis'" he told Radar. "You know, we can show you a bunch of emails about what they wanted her to pretend to be, therefore, but that's going to come out later on with one of the major networks. See the first episode of busting some of these reality shows open on ABC News '20/20.' There will be a special on Friday and maybe more to come after that."

EW reports that Bai Ling, Michael Lohan, Jeremy Jackson, Amy Fisher, Sean Young and Steven Adler are continuing to receive treatment from Pinsky and the show.

Some of these shows obviously take reality to a whole new plane of existence. However, the rest of the DC cast, along with the other Housewives shows, did what all good well to do people do is CHARITY work. Salahi's only charity is herself which is sad and sorry. The last time I checked MS was not an addiction, but an affliction or disease process. I would only watch this show again when the Salahi's are axed good and proper for their rude, if not criminal, behavior at the White House. Bye bye Salahi's!!! And no, I am not threatening them. LOL

this woman and her husband are such a mess. neither of them have any credibility left. they both need to go back to where they came from and call it a day.

Pretty crummy of her to take the spot of somebody who needs help. Even more crummy to think about in light of Mike Starr's death.

Once again, my theory is proven that this show is nothing more than an Attention W h o r e outlet. Don't think anyone on it cares about their sobriety. Cancel it now. It's an insult.

What a selfish liar. There are so many people who deserve his treatment for actual addictions. This petty woman needs to be banned from any form of media- her ego is her only addiction!
