We'll sum up all the news related to children's programming, as well as profile the people and shows your kids, tweens and teens are talking about.

Even though its only been around for about a month, Disney Junior is already priming its lineup for when it takes over SoapNet in 2012 as a full-time young child network. In addition to the programs already seen on Disney Channel from 4AM until 2PM, Disney is acquiring two more from the United Kingdom entertainment company Chorion.
The first is 'Octonauts.' Based on a children's book series, the Octonauts are a team of young undersea explorers who embark on fun and adventure from their base known as the he Octopod. The second series, 'Gaspard and Lisa,' is based on a book series by Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben about two toddler puppies and their daily activities.

Both 'Octonauts' and 'Gaspard and Lisa' are currently being aired in Europe and other countries. They will arrive on Disney Junior's shores next March. Look for previews of the shows on Junior's programming block closer to their official premieres.

Cartoon Network is renewing their live-action shows for new seasons? You would think that they would take a cue from Nickelodeon's recent announcement about bringing back their 90s shows and airing them on TeenNick.
