'Last Call With Carson Daly' Renewed for 11th Season
NBC has announced that 'Last Call With Carson Daly' is set for an eleventh season.Speaking about his show's renewal, host Daly said, "I am excited to continue with what we are doing here at 'Last Call' ... We give our viewers something unique and interesting every night to watch and I am very proud of that."
NBC Exec VP Nick Ludwin added that "'Last Call' is enjoying its best season yet and its ratings are up. We're pleased it's going to continue."
Airing in the latest slot of any late night talk show, the half-hour 'Last Call' features live music performances, celebrity interviews and "gritty documentary style"-coverage of a topic.
The show's renewal means that Daly will be pulling double duty for NBC later on this year. He's been tapped to host super producer Mark Burnett's new singing talent show, 'The Voice, which is due to launch on the network in April.
It was recently announced that Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have signed on as guest judges.
Daly's been hosting 'Last Call' since 2002. He first came to prominence as the host of MTV's live weekday show, 'TRL,' which he hosted from 1998 to 2002, and he's since gone on to host NBC's New Year's Eve coverage.
'Last Call With Carson Daly' airs weekdays, 1:35AM ET on NBC.
'The Voice' premieres April 26, 9PM ET, on NBC.
