Did Paget Brewster's Emily Die in Her Final 'Criminal Minds' Episode? (VIDEO)

Emily (Paget Brewster) in Final 'Criminal Minds' EpisodeIn Paget Brewster's final episode, Emily Prentiss is up against her old flame/nemesis on 'Criminal Minds' (Wed., 9PM ET on CBS). But Ian Doyle has trapped her. Time for Derek, David, Hotch and the rest of the team to come to the rescue.

"Agent Prentiss is our only friendly in the building. Rescuing her is our primary objective," says Hotch. Derek adds, "Our only advantage here is stealth. Once they know we're on site, there's nothing to stop them from killing her."


(Spoiler alert.)

They charge in (quietly), and Derek discovers her in the basement, nearly unconscious. Ian Doyle has skewered her torso with a wooden post.

Derek is too late: Emily doesn't survive the injury. Or does she...?

Big mistake taking not only Prentiss but JJ off the show. They were both fantastic. The show now has two great losses. It was however, one of their many great episodes.

haha me too i DVR every episode!! she did not die she was going "off the grid" or "witness protection"with 3 passports and 3 bank accounts jj gave them to her in france (i think it was france) i hope she comes back in this season or the next jj returns of one more episode i dont when.

This was a fantastic episode. I DVR'd the episode and watched it twice. Not only did Gubler direct it wonderfully, but we got to see AJ Cook, who looks better than ever. Prentiss was an amazing character and Paget Brewster is an even more amazing actress. I'm sad to see Prentiss go, but I hope she returns in the future.
