Donald Trump Defends Birthers, Has Own 'Doubt' as to Obama's Birthplace (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Mar 17th 2011 2:30PM
Donald Trump, who is considering seeking the Republican nomination for president, was on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC), where he defended those who question whether Barack Obama was born in the United States, telling Ashleigh Banfield he also has some doubts about Obama's birthplace.

"Everybody that even gives any hint of being a birther ... even a little bit of a hint like, 'Gee, you know, maybe, just maybe, this much of a chance' they label them as an idiot."

"Let me tell you, I'm a really smart guy," Trump continued. "The reason I have a little doubt -- just a little -- is because [Obama] grew up and nobody knew him ... If I ever got the nomination, if I ever decide to run, you may go back and interview people from my kindergarten -- they'll remember me. Nobody ever comes forward, nobody knows who [Obama] is until later in his life. It's very strange"

Does this mean Trump is willing to spend hundred of millions of his own dollars on the rare "They remember me from kindergarten"-based presidential campaign? Tune in to find out!
