Kathy Griffin Jokes About Death Threats from the 'Palin Army' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 18th 2011 8:30AM
Kathy Griffin Talks Palin Army on '50 & Not Pregnant'In 'Kathy Griffin: 50 & Not Pregnant' (Thu., 9PM ET on BRVO), the comedienne discussed the "Palin Army" that has invaded her life (via social media) with threats following her many jokes at the Palin family's expense.

One Sarah Palin supporter wrote, "literally, 'I'm coming to your house tomorrow to murder you,'" said Griffin during the stand-up special.

But she noted, "The Palin Army probably could never really survive against the Gay Army. Because we don't need guns. We have sarcasm and we have snark and we have our verbal [beep] rapier wit and, dammit, that's how we conquer."

Griffin did, however, realize that she and the former governor have one thing in common: "She's a [beep] reality star, just like me."

Celebrities are so very careless about what they say and cause more damage than anyone else. Why don't they have to take responsibility for what they say like the rest of us? To suggest that people of a different political view are coming to kill her creates danger for those people. The "Teaparty" is not owned by Sarah Palin, the people that belong to the "Teaparty" are not domestic terrorists. They simply are not Socialists nor Capitalists. There has not been one instance of a "Teaparty" member hurting another human being. It is easier to be a Muslim terrorist in this country than a member of the "Teaparty", who are mostly elderly people tired of being screwed by the government. What is their threat? Their VOTES not their actions against anyone.

Kathy Griffin thinks that she is funny. She is disgusting and her jokes are untasteful. She needs to get a real job.

Unlike you,I have no problem believing that the ignorant,hate-filled Palin followers would threaten her. As much as Palin denies it,she ,her followers and all the ranting hateful jerks on FoxNews are responsible for the tradgedy that took place in Arizona. As far as Kathy Griffin being a has been, you're the one that needs to get a grip. She's working more now than ever.

delacourte, Sarah Palin nor anyone from the "Teaparty" are responsible for the shooting in Arizona. Get your facts straight. The shooter was a liberal who was in love with the congresswoman and was crazier than hell. If you use your logic which is that his political views caused his actions then Barrack Obama is responsible for what happened in Arizona! Fox news is wildly popular because the rest of the media is state owned and it offers the only opposing views. You are the ranter on here and you make no sense in the world.

Who said homosexuals where harmless??? A lot of them hate the heterosexual establishment and are always suing them for some supposed slight. They especially hate Christians like Sarah Palin who because of what the Bible says about homosexuality perceive Christians as their mortal enemies, over looking the fact that Christians are taught to hate the sin not the sinner and where as Muslims may not be as benign toward them, actually some of them believe in killing them, yet most American homosexuals don't feel threatened by Muslims ironically because they don't live in a Muslim country but under the protection of a Christian one instead! So much for Kathy's misdirected hatred. And boy is that women filled with hate!!! You got to remember if your raised in a society that's not homosexual you can become paranoid and blame the heterosexual majority for all the imagined and real ills you've suffered and over time can easily begin to hate everyone and everything in that society blaming them for all your failures. And boy has Kathy fixated all her repressed hatred on Sarah Palin!!! That's probably why a lot of tolerate society's eventually turn on these groups because they find them always being attacked by them in the courts and the media for no reason at all and Kathy Griffin is a classic example of that. Still as Christians we should pray for her. She has a lot of issues and needs God's help. By the same token Sarah Palin should be the next President of the United States. We've had a black President. Now lets have a women President. And all you women should forget your differences and rally around her, just like the blacks rallied around their man. Remember she single handedly rallied the Republican party when she ran last time even though she was handicapped by the Republican leadership. This time let her run with Michele Bachmann unfettered, I can't think of a more attractive pair----lets give the ladies a chance and see what they can do!!!

Once, again utterly bereft of factual claims. I agree that it is time for a woman to successfully seek the presidency, HOWEVER, I would never in a million years vote for either of the horrible women put up as examples because they haven't the experience, vision, or capacity to lead this country in a positive direction for all in society. Sorry but I also find it incredibly patronizing to say that just because a candidate is a woman then women need to "rally around them" with a complete and utter disregard for their potential platform.

well put MRS592…to vote for a woman based on the fact that she IS a woman is such an ignorant concept. vote for experience, not personal similarity to the candidate. i have no experience in politics, but i have kids. based on the vote for similarity concept, should i run and have all other parents vote for me?! our country wouldn't last a DAY,lol! also- kathy griffin is fantastic. if you don't like her, why did you watch the clip?!
