A 'Sister Wives' Daughter Is Badly Injured While Horseback Riding (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 21st 2011 5:50AM
An Injury on 'Sister Wives'On 'Sister Wives' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC), Kody Brown took his four wives and several of his 16 children horseback riding. "One of the horses was acting up, and we told the kids not to ride it," recalled Kody's first wife Meri.

But teens will be teens. Mykelti, his second child with third wife Christine, didn't heed the warning. "A few minutes later, we see Mykelti's horse come running back -- and not Mykelti."

Kody saw the 13-year-old fly off the animal and come down on her hip. "Hell, you don't know if somethin's broken," he said.

Kody ran to her and helped her stand up, as she cried from the pain. Nothing appeared broken, but she was left with a raw, red bruise down the side of her torso.

What an absolute idiot for asking her to stand so quickly.....I mean a real idiot....you never ever do that with someone who may have broken bones especially that couold puncture a lung or other organs.....at the very least you inspect them as they tell you where they're hurt.....never have them stand until the trauma has passed......there is a chance she has nerve damage and/or a fracture to her hip or pelvic bone area.....I've been around horses most my life.....it is an inherently dangerous business......almost everyone gets thrown off or falls off sometime along the way.

Show them the video of Christopher Reeves falling off his horse . . . . and never getting up. That should make them use SOME caution.
