'SNL' Alum Victoria Jackson Rails Against Gay 'Glee' Kiss (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Mar 22nd 2011 12:30PM
'SNL' Star Victoria Jackson Rails Against Gay 'Glee' KissOn 'Showbiz Tonight' (weekdays, 5PM ET on HLN), former 'Saturday Night Live' star Victoria Jackson defended her opinion that a recent gay kiss between Chris Colfer and Darren Criss on 'Glee' was "sickening" and "made a mockery of Christians."

Last week in a column for WorldNetDaily, Jackson said the kiss between characters Kurt and Blaine was an affront to her religion, and she accused the show of "shoving the gay thing down our throats."

Jackson, a Tea Party activist, was unapologetic on 'Showbiz Tonight.' "It doesn't matter what I think. What matters is what the Bible says and I'm really concerned about our country because ... secular humanism rules the airwaves and it's stealing the innocence away from this whole generation of children," she said.

When asked to respond to claims that she's homophobic, Jackson said, "That's a cute little buzz word of the liberal agenda. Basically, the Bible says homosexuality is a sin."

I challenge Mr.Jackson and anyone who agrees with to view this film and not question their own prejudicial statements while hiding behind verses and not find themselves in the hot seat. If you dare to cross the line in the sand, than I dare you to view this short film.

To everyone who wants to talk about what it says in the Bible I suggest you watch this short clip from the West Wing.

Actually I suggest everyone watches it . . . it is the best answer to "The Bible says being gay is a sin" EVER!

The men that were writing the bible were doing little boys. So she needs to shutr her mouth and get over it. Change is coming and nothing is going to stop it.

Geez. After reading this, I'm surely glad I live in Europe where everyone is accepted as they are no matter what religion och sexuality they have. The bible was written by men for men and I'm pretty sure that homosexuality was as common then and practiced as it is now. As for something being "normal", or not - who decided what's normal and what's not normal? I thought that God teaches us to love everyone no matter who they are or where they come from?

It was very courageous of Victoria to speak the truth on TV even though it opens her up to ridicule such as some of the comments here. Secular Humanism is the religion of Hollywood and Network TV. On each show or movie there will always be at least one homosexual character presented in a positive light while there is almost never a character who has a healthy relationship with God as their Savior who is not looked on as stupid, sick, or bigoted.
Why are only Muslims the only people whose religious beliefs are not to be rerated when they also believe homosexuality is a sin, in fact a sin punishable by death? I find it disturbing that characters in TV shows depict people having casual sex and/or living together without marriage that make it a really big deal if one of the partners says "I love you" because it means they are becoming serious. How backward is that? Bravo Victoria! God's Truth does not depend on society's norms. It is eternal and the laws written on the hearts of believers supercedes any of the ones being forced down our throats by those with an agenda which makes whatever they desire acceptable to everyone else. What most of us who are offended by the trash shown on TV or movies do is avoid them and take or patronage elsewhere, but Victoria had the guts to say what needs to be said. I hope all of us who love God will do the same thing when confronted with the chance to voice truth over the lie that what is unnatural and sinful is "normal"

I am not debating the issue of homosexuality on this one (my opinion is my own). I am debating Victoria's choices.

My question is this... why would you watch a show that has openly out and proud gay teens if you are offended by it religiously. There is a very large chance you are going to see an exchange that you are uncomfortable with. If I was offended by something, I wouldn't watch the show to begin with.

If you don't like Glee... don't watch it.

If you don't like 2 & 1/2 Men... don't watch it

If you don't like Jersey Shore.. don't watch it.

If you don't like Bad Girls Club... don't watch it.

You have the power to click the remote and watch something else or to turn off the tv in general. God gave you free will. That's in the bible too.

Likewise......and at Christmas Time:
If you don't like Manger scenes..............................................don't look at them.
If you don't like Crosses...........................................................don't look at them.
If you don't like Merry Christmas.............................................don't say it.
If you don't like Christmas Carols..........................................don't sing them.
If you don't like Prayer...............................................................don't pray. (But that doesn't stop the ACLU from attacking Christians, now does it.

But contrary to what some people would have us to believe, America is still a Christian nation. God's Light is still evident in this land, but sin WILL plunge it into darkness. God and darkness don't go together. And when God goes.....satan moves in. The battle is always between Light and darkness.

One more thing, if you don't stand for truth, falling for lies is inevitable. I'm glad Victoria Jackson had the courage to stand for truth.

The point is that you have the power to control many of the things you are offended by simply by not partaking in them. It's also the quickest way to show your disapproval.

As a Christian man... I wouldn't go to a anti-Christian rally and then act all shocked and shaken by what was being said there. It makes no sense to me that you would purposely watch or partake in something that you deem offensive.

I'd rather be happy than pissed.

You act like you know what you are talking about when you just want to be seen doing something important. I agree if you don't like it don't look. But don't shovce stuff down our throats because we are different then you. God made us to so if we are wrong then that would mean that he is too. So all the Gay is bad because it's a Sin people can sit and spin for all I care. God made us in his image. I guess he was gay when he made us. So get use to it becasue we are born to be who we are.

Victoria is right. God says that homosexuality is a sin -- of course, every single one of us sins every day, but that doesn't mean that we should make it OK. Love the sinner, hate the sin. Oh and God says that woe to those who call evil good and good evil. That's what's happening with the gay agenda, isn't it?
