Naima Adedapo Dances to the Beat of a Different Drummer (VIDEO)

An 'American Idol' original, Naima Adedapo put her own special spin on Martha & The Vandellas' 'Dancing in the Streets' for Motown night.

Complete with African drums and a funky dance breakdown, Naima proved to the judges and America that she is a complete performer.

Will it be enough to keep her out of danger tomorrow night? It's in America's hands now.

'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on Fox.

We need more than one winner for Idol - this is the most fantastic season
and there should be at least six winners. Great entertainment!

I think she's terrific. She may NOT have the best voice but she is an entertainer. She's caught up in the "black" thing and I think that limits her. She's beautiful in her own way (think Vanessa Williams) and I always can't wait for her to perform. Go Naima!

There are other contestants that do not continue to belong on American Idol, why does it seem that you have a problem with her performance? It is the overall presentation that takes them to the top-others do not just sing, they play instruments, do make-overs etc.

First and foremost American Idol is a singing competition, so why when they were showing highlights at the end of the show did most of Naima's segment feature the dancing part?
