Carla Gugino Confuses Chelsea Handler With a Tale About a Tepee Actress Carla Gugino is known as something a free-spirit. But on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), her attempt to tell Chelsea Handler about her odd childhood -- which was split between living in a tepee with her mom and living in a mansion with her father -- ended in confusion for the guest and the host.

"Which one of the two of us do you think is having [more] trouble following this story?" Chelsea said.

Good question. Carla's tale involves childhood kidney trouble, gold-miners, a bus, an American Indian tent, an operation, and a miraculous recovery. See if you can follow it a little better than Chelsea did.

HOW can you folks not know Carla????

She is SPYMOM in the movie, SPYKIDS by Disney!!

I have always thought she was incredibly gorgeous, especially considering she is now in her 40's and looks half that age.

So, she lived in a tipi(correct spelling) for a couple of months. Big deal! I did it for 3 years, year round in the flatland frontier of Indiana. Throught the worst blizzard in 100 years! Founded my own town(not a commune, we allWORKED in town) My wife and her 2 kids from a previous marriage moved in and the rest is history; been married 32 yrs. this June, Kids grew up everything fine!

I followed it, Carla had a terrible kidney problem when she was a child and she had to have an operation to fix, after the operation her mother had a wonderful idea to help her recover by moving them out to the mountain, where there were these Gold miners that lived in buses, and they lived amongst them in a tepee and Carla had the time of her life and recovered nicely. They lived in that tepee for four months. Children love camping and adventures and this was probably the most encredible thing her mother could have ever given her.
