Sarah Palin: 'I Need NOW's Defense Like a Fish Needs a Bicycle' (VIDEO)

Last week, Bill Maher insulted Sarah Palin by likening her to a vulgar word for a part of the female anatomy. The National Organization of Women (NOW) issued a statement condemning Maher's language, however some believe the statement was a bit half-hearted.Palin was 'On the Record With Greta Van Susteren' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on Fox News) where she addressed Maher's slur and NOW's reaction.
"Others want to bring more light to it and demand that Bill Maher apologize or that NOW defend me for something that was said about me -- by the way, I need NOW's defense like a fish needs a bicycle," Palin said.
"My point is when a shot is taken at me, it is water off of a duck's back because I know the important things in life that we need to concentrate on, especially the national and international issues that are so important."
Although the interview went on for a few more minutes, we can confirm that Palin did not at any point use a third folksy, water-animal-related idiom.
