Is 'Real Housewives of Toronto' Next?
Remember that time Andy Cohen said 'Real Housewives of Miami' would be the last new addition to the 'Real Housewives' franchise? Well, that might not be the case.According to the Hollywood Reporter, casting is underway for 'Real Housewives of Toronto.' Canada-based Lark Productions is at work on the series, but it has not been given the official green light.
Lark has a deal with NBC Universal, parent company to Bravo, the home of 'The Real Housewives' franchise. The production company is led by former CTV development head Louise Clark.
Just because this is reportedly in development doesn't mean it will ever make it to Bravo.
Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Miami' has been panned by critics and failed to grab decent ratings, only pulling in around 1 million viewers.
The fate of 'Real Housewives of DC' is up in the air, with reports of cancellation, making it the only canceled 'Housewives' series. However, 'DC' did better in the ratings than 'Miami,' pulling an average of 1.5 million viewers.
Bravo honcho Andy Cohen recently went on record saying 'Real Housewives of Miami' would be the last new addition to the franchise. "I really feel like we're done," Cohen said.
