'The Real Housewives of Miami' Season 1, Episode 6 (Season Finale) Recap

Elsa Patton, 'The Real Housewives of Miami'['The Real Housewives of Miami' - 'Miami Mamis Know Best']

"It was so stupid, and so retarded ... that I don't want to talk about it anymore." - Elsa, on Marysol's cooking party.

Actually, was she talking about the show? What? Oh, never mind. Some plot lines are actually starting to take off here, and it has only been six episodes.

But how about some more Elsa?

"How many husbands have you had? I forgot."
Marysol: "Two."
Elsa: "I thought it was like three or four."

Even though she's not slated to be there, why can't they bring Elsa back for the live reunion next Tuesday? What if Andy Cohen hosts a poll to ask the question this week, then when everyone clamors for the plane-shy Mrs. Patton, send a ship to fetch her?

Apart from Marysol developing a reasonable aversion to Larsa after she called dear Elsa a B****, and Marysol getting married, things were pretty much the same since we first met the ladies. Adriana was still strutting her stuff, seeking security for Alex with Frederic, Alexia was still genuine and well-meaning, hoping for the best for her model-esque son, and Lea kept organizing events, flicking off critics. Cristy was still not a fan of Lea, and she found Adriana's showiness irksome.

At the end of the episode, in the "What happened to them?" (in what, a few months?) part, we learned that Adriana got a ring. She even admitted herself that having a dad for Alex and her fear of being "old and lonely" trumped her idea of the "perfect person." So the (real) engagement is not really a surprise, but you've got to wonder if they will actually getting married. What happens when Alex grows up? It's possible that they could be a happy family by then. What does Elsa think?

Larsa may have wanted to make a point by comparing Elsa's failed marriage, and perhaps Maryol's history of failed marriages, to her own, functional relationship with her husband. However she did express curiosity about Elsa's ability to channel the "feeling" she gets about a person, asking for a reading. Why did she expect only hearts and rainbows? It's obvious, as she says herself, that she's not used to getting criticized.

Mrs. Pippen obviously has a very strong sense of self, one that's happy in her marriage and family life, so she has a reason to question the notion that she's not emotionally mature. Yet why seek to deflect the comment so vigorously? Of course, everyone might want to know something allegedly true about themselves from someone with some special ability, but why should you assume it's going to just confirm your own opinions?

Of course this isn't the first time someone with professed psychic-like talent has turned the tables in 'Housewives' land. Real-life 'Medium' Allison DuBois caused such a stir at a dinner party in 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' that Bravo deemed it worthy of its own extra episode.

Lea's organic experiment wasn't exactly well received -- its sole defender, funnily enough, being Cristy, who was still hungry for a cheeseburger -- but the ladies just looked like one big gaggle of complainers. Besides the accidental bugs, did they really just eat salad, though, after that long trip? Lea was trying to have some fun by misdirecting them to think they needed formal attire and white gloves, then letting their anger steep in the mosquito-ridden heat. Someone was bound to let a "b*tch" out.

'The Real Housewives of Miami' live reunion airs Tuesday, April 5 at 9PM ET on Bravo.
