When Larry King visited 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), George Lopez showed him some old zingers used in monologues at the retired broadcaster's expense."Larry King has conducted over 50,000 interviews. The question he has asked the most: Will you marry me?" Lopez teased. "Larry King has announced he's going on a nationwide standup tour. He's not going to tell jokes -- he wants to prove to the people he can still stand up."
But after running the footage, the host told King, "I am officially retiring all Larry King jokes from 'Lopez Tonight' right now."
King reasoned that Lopez could still mention him, but his eight marriages and "suspender jokes" were off limits.
