Lady Gaga to Headline 'GMA' Summer Concert Series, Burt Reynolds, Christopher Lloyd Book TV Roles and More

Lady GagaLady Gaga will kick off the summer concert series on 'Good Morning America.'

ABC announced the news during this morning's 'GMA' broadcast. Look for Gaga to take the stage on May 27, four days after her new album drops.

'GMA' has been beefing up its content to draw younger viewers. Last month the morning show welcomed Britney Spears with a concert event.

Last summer Lady Gaga took the stage as part of the 'Today' show's summer concerts.

In other TV news ...

Burt Reynolds will star opposite LeAnn Rimes in 'Reel Love,' a CMT original movie. Reynolds will play father to Rimes' Holly, a successful woman who returns to her small-town home after a family emergency. [Deadline]

Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of an NBC comedy pilot. The 'Back to the Future' actor will play grandfather to a family of doctors. The pilot also stars Jean Smart, Adam J. West and Jere Burns. Lloyd recently popped up in an episode of 'Fringe.' [Deadline]

Looks like Charlie Sheen did better in Chicago than in Detroit. The controversial actor was met with a standing ovation after changing the 'My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat is Not an Option' tour structure. [A.P.]

Elle MacPherson will host Ben Silverman's 'Fashion Star' on NBC. The series will feature designers competing for a chance to get their work in retail stores. Don't expect 'Project Runway'-style high-end couture. [N.Y. Times]

VH1 is shooting 'Wrestler Wives.' Yep, it's as exactly as it sounds. The series will follow Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman (wife of Booker T), Stacy Carter, Jerry Lawler's ex and Jackie Haas, Charlie Haas's wife. [TMZ]

Katee Sackhoff is lending her voice to 'Star Wars: Clone Wars.' No details on her character except she's promised to be "memorable." [Entertainment Weekly]

The Parents Television Council is launching an attack against NBC's 'Playboy' ... before the network has made a decision about the pilot. The PTC claims the NBC/Comcast merger will "obliterate any remaining standards of broadcast decency" because Comcast "either cannot distinguish between Showtime and broadcast television, or they are choosing to ignore those differences." Jeff Daniels has officially signed for Aaron Sorkin's HBO pilot. Other HBO casting includes: David Rasche in a recurring role on 'Bored to Death,' Nicole Laliberte on 'How to Make it in America,' and Analeigh Tipton on 'Hung.' [Deadline]

Gene Simmons will guest star on ABC's 'Castle.' The KISS singer will play himself in an upcoming episode. [TVLine]
