Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Take a Tumble on 'Dancing With the Stars' (VIDEO)

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 'Dancing with the Stars'It may not have looked like a massive tumble, but Maksim Chmerkovskiy clearly injured something rather painfully toward the beginning of his Rumba with Kirstie Alley on 'Dancing with the Stars' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) this week. According to Chmerkovskiy, his "thigh just gave out."

In a number filled with emotional meaning for Alley, it was a shame they got off to such a shaky start.

Even after they recovered their feet, Chmerkovskiy held off a couple of beats as he grimaced in obvious discomfort. But then he regained himself and his partner, and they continued the dance.

The judges were very supportive of what happened, and more significantly, their recovery. "Despite the fact you had a little mess up at the beginning, something magical happened after that," Carrie Ann Inaba said of their performance.

Len Goodman echoed her sentiments, saying the pair "came back stronger" after the fall. What did you think of Alley and Chmerkovskiy's performance? Is she still a front-runner for you?

Alley's a great girl but she should have never did that show.She should have lost at least 50 pounds before she even thought about getting up there.Fat is so ugly!We all know she has a weight problem but she didn't have to flaunt it.If she really wants to get back her fans respect she will drop that weight.

Shmuck.
This was probably Alley's worst nightmare come true, even though the chance of it happening with a skinnier girl were probably at least 50-50 as well. Max let the tension in his leg go, and it just happened. Excellent recovery, but probably excruciating embarassing for Alley. She shouldn't be. They recovered very well. Get a life, ABuck.

Max did a great job coming out of that, he was hurt and of course her weight didn't help, she will be the one to admit that first!! She don't give a crap what you moron's have to say!!! They make an awesome team! he was the perfect match for her!! They have fun, they laugh, he is a great teacher and they have a great connection!!! Know one can bring her down, not even jackass' like these on these site or any of the other's...go Kirstie!!!

Max stated his leg gave out...I dont think it necessarily was Kirstie's fault as obviously they practiced that move hundreds of times...I felt bad for him having to continue in pain, but very moved by the fact that he was able to push through it for Kirstie's sake...It is apparent that they are fond of each other

Plain and simply, he accidentally released the tension in his leg. That's why it collapsed. If it's anybody's fault, it's his. They'd probably practiced the move hundreds of times with no problems.

If you watch the video, you can see he had trouble holding her up. She's probably heavier then what he's use to dancing with. Besides dancing maybe he should do a little conditioning with weights.

I felt so bad for Maksim trying to drag Kirstie"s fat RUMP across the stage floor. Also, Windy, you and your partner did a good job. Too bad you did not have more time to practice.
