A Heartbreaking Elimination on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 6th 2011 1:37AM
Jillian Michaels, 'The Biggest Loser'It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Red Team on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC). After two losses in a row, the only contestant left for Brett Hoebel was Courtney, which put a lot of pressure on her this week. The other three teams each have three members, but in a way that makes it harder for them.

Especially when one of those teams dropped only seven pounds between the three members. Bob Harper was terrified his Blue Team would fumble on the scale after a couple of strong weeks in a row, while a Hollywood night out on the town for one team left their trainer more than concerned.

It was refreshing to see everyone coming to the Weigh-In committed to the process and focused on their weight loss rather than gameplay. But that didn't make the elimination any easier.

Courtney's been facing a wall in her weight loss the past several weeks, dropping five, four, three and then two pounds last week. If she didn't turn it around it was the end of the road for her. As one of the most optimistic and inspiring contestants the show has ever seen, hearts were broken from her "girls" to the trainers themselves when she continued her descending trend. One pound lost on the scale and an automatic elimination ended her time on the Ranch.

Jillian Michaels was in tears, while Harper admitted he was angry. Even Alison Sweeney seemed moved in the moment and offered Courtney a hug. It did seem like it was Courtney's destiny to win this season, but as she said her journey isn't over just because she's leaving the Ranch.

"It's over here," she admitted. But she went home and continued her weight loss and we can't wait to see how far she's come when finale time comes around. The Biggest Loser House, though? It just won't be the same without her.

I wanted to cry as well because I didn't want Brett or Courtney to leave. I was watching the show while I was on the treadmill and I wanted to watch some of the show when I got home because I missed a lot of it. I work and subscribe to DISH Network and since I forgot to DVR the show, I just went to DISHonline.com and watched it there. Most of the content is free unless you want to watch the premium content and the video quality is great. I love it and I am always recommending that people check out DISH Network and experience a value unseen by any other provider!

Please, anyone who has had to lose weight knows how hard it "can" be if you make it that way. Fact is, if one doesn't change their eating habits then forget it, it's that simple. You can do all the push ups you like but it wont last, unless you forever do the same push ups among many other things. Just change the way you eat, and eat right, and you'll lose weight period. I should say in moste very case that's right but not all. Make a big deal out of lose the weight and it will be just that, a big deal. Or just change that one thing and lose it slowly and it's not such a big deal to you. What IS a big deal is how much one can lose just by changing a few things in their everyday life!!!

The rules for the contestants on this stupid
show keep getting worse every year. There is always
someone going home who needs to be there. Get rid of
the host and all the extra drama that the show creates !!!

Muscle weighs more than fat. When these contestants work hard during the week and show a small loss is it not because they are becoming firmer and gaining muscle? This would be especially true after they've lost a lot of weight and are getting close to their goal.

As I undersand it, Jillian was born without tear ducts, or a personality, so coming close to crying would be impossible. This was just her feeble, 1-dimensional attempt at "acting".
