Sela Ward Considers the Benefits of Having a Street Named After Her (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 6th 2011 12:30PM
On 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Rachael Ray pointed out that actress Sela Ward has a portion of a street named after her in Meridian, Mississippi, the city of her birth. Then, Ray asked if Ward has the right to speed with impunity on her namesake roadway.

"I want to know. Can you speed on that thing?" asked Ray.

"Let's hope I'm not speeding," Ward replied. "I'm there on vacation."

"If I had a parkway named after me, I have to tell you, one might be tempted to floor it occasionally with a safety belt properly attached, of course," said Ray.

"I'll have to try that. Maybe they won't give me a ticket," said Ward. "I'm usually speeding anyway. That's the truth."
