Eric Stonestreet Pranks Jesse Tyler Ferguson on the Set of 'Modern Family' (VIDEO)

Eric Stonestreet visited 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and shared an outtake where he pranked co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson on the set of 'Modern Family.'

In the clip, Stonestreet's character is supposedly asleep as Mitchell, played by Ferguson, attempts to speak to him. As Ferguson delivers his lines, Stonestreet lurches out and bed with a shout, causing Ferguson to recoil in fright.

Afterward, Ferguson laughs the joke off as Stonestreet giggles evilly over the well-executed scare.

"I was so proud of myself," Stonestreet told Ellen DeGeneres.
