Fallon's Afraid Jennifer Garner's Going to Beat Him Up For Making Fun of 'The Town' (VIDEO)
A word of advice for anyone who might be interviewing Jennifer Garner in the future. Take a lesson from the beat-down Jimmy Fallon feared he was going to get on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). Do not make fun of 'The Town.' In fact, you might not even want to mention the film.'The Town' was directed and co-written by her husband Ben Affleck, who also starred in it. Garner is apparently quite protective of her husband's work.
After sharing an incident where her band director was arrested by the FBI for robbing banks, Fallon said it would make a great movie, "like 'Election' meets 'Glee' meets 'The Town'."
At mention of 'The Town,' Garner stopped and turned to him. "Were you making fun of 'The Town'?"
Fallon, of course, denied making fun of the film. He went so far as to say he liked it. Even if he had been making fun of it, though, he certainly wasn't going to admit that to Garner when she's in full Sydney Bristow mode!
"Okay, that's cool," she said in that intimidating tone bullies use when they're taking your lunch money. "I just wanted to make sure." After being defensive and sensitive for awhile, she finally made the connection and understood what Fallon was talking about. 'The Town' is about bank robbers, after all.
Imagine if he'd hit even closer to home by equating the project to the 'Daredevil' movie where she met Affleck. At least he didn't touch 'Elektra.'
