Debbie Reynolds has never been shy talking about her relationship with Eddie Fisher and Elizabeth Taylor, a trend that continued today on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC). For the uninitiated, Fisher divorced Reynolds to marry Taylor, but Reynolds said they remained friends. In fact, she sounded downright blasé about the whole thing.

"These things happen," said Reynolds. "Best friends should stick together."

Reynolds and Taylor kept up their relationship over the years, and they spoke shortly before Taylor's death last month. Reynolds said Taylor had been sick and was glad she was in a better place. "Elizabeth loved life, and I know, because she took part of mine," she said. "I'm completely over it."

Reynolds did cough throughout most of the interview, and it's unclear whether that was for comic effect. Either way, it's easy to see where from where Carrie Fisher inherited her sarcastic sense of humor.
