'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Star Dina Manzo Gets New HGTV Series

Dina ManzoDina Manzo, former star of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey,' is heading to HGTV in a new party-planning series.

According to Variety, the untitled series will follow Manzo and her events company Design Affairs. Each episode will focus on a different job.

"Dina is an accomplished interior designer and also runs a thriving event planning business," Kathleen Finch, general manager of HGTV, said. "Her 'Real Housewives' fans will be very surprised to see this side of her. Dina brings a unique set of skills to HGTV."

Manzo left 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' in the beginning of season 2 after an ongoing conflict with fellow former star Danielle Staub. Before her exit, she told Zap2It that her dust-ups with Staub were a breaking point in terms of her staying on the show.

"For me knowing how hard I work ... For [Danielle] to make a mockery of [a fundraiser] was extra upsetting as a cast member, you know, to be part of the show, to see her do that," Manzo told Zap2it last year. "It was really the last straw for me."

You should try to use words and punctuation correctly if you're trying to be the final word in commenting etiquette. And I doubt the "educated" worry about staying knowledgeable on upcoming HGTV shows. Attempting to tear people down is childish and embarrassing, especially when presented as poorly as shown above. Kindness and class will go farther than tacky and ill-prepared.

Isn't it bad enough, we bore and clog up our networks with her sister Caroline, now elbowing and pushing her way onto the radio circuit - As an uneducated and unqualified "authority" on LIFE COUNSELING - Are you kidding me???? Goes to show the caliber and continuous arrogance and ignorance on Caroline Manzo's part. Are the networks so passe that they have no clue as to what the viewers find entertaining or interesting; Or are they just banking on the desperation of the MANZO SISTERS "Fame Ho-ing" to make repeated fools of themselves on the TV Networks and in the public eye??? Go home girls, have a seat - you're TIRED and it shows... But more to the point, there isn't anything remotely original or of value that the Manzo Sisters contribute to culture, society, or the drowing TV networks.

I like Dina Manzo, sanest one of the NJH... However, has anyone seen her design style???? "Italian Gaudy", reminds me of the overdone stuff that used to be (and still is) covered in tacky plastic. It becomes tiring seeing TV networks using the same reality TV players in "New" shows - How about some NEW PEOPLE & REAL TALENT.

Its surprising that HGTV thinks they will create a design/events show around someone whose house was decorated in 80's fru-fru...looks like you have no fresh ideas. Perhaps she should try her hand at clothing or jewelry design....better yet...perhaps she could write a cook book....How to Cook up Another Lame Idea Show.
What school of design did she attend? As for the events....can mean girls with bad karma really bring positive vibes to events? Me thinks not............

That is a bunch of crap! She is a liar like all the rest of them! She changes her story on why she left so many times. She didn't want her crazy crap to become public. If HGTV gives this womah a show I will boycott them.

These people are idiots! They believe they are "Stars" Bravo shows what selfish, lying, crooks they are and they think people see them as kind, caring, successful, classy people....MORONS!!

People just want to watch trainwrecks!

Ummmm did anyone see her house on RHONJ??????? Buh -bye HGTV i use to go to your shows when these morons got on my nerves...shes a waste of time and now unfortunatly so are you HGTV im going to block your station so we dont even see it by accident...

Delighted, I found her a beautiful spirit to watch on RHof NJand was sorry to see her go...then...but now...she can offer her expertise w/o all the negativity.
Looking forward to the new show.

I really liked and admired Dina. I'm glad to see that she had enough sense as well as class to leave the show and not reduce herself to Danielle's level. I definitely will watch.

So many haters on here! If you don't like her then don't watch the show! Nobody is forcing you to. And to the "Housewives" haters, there must have been an interest to read this article so if you hate them so much why would you insist on reading it?

I wouldn't consider 'others giving their negative comments or opinions' as "haters", romik13. Each individual has their right to do so, such as you - And then even comment on them, without you attacking them - just because you seemingly are a "Housewife LOVER" (we don't put you down for it, we just reserve those humorous judgements about you to ourselves). Moreover, it might help to clarify and help you understand that avid and educated readers, make it a point to read - especially that which they oppose. It's called "being well informed", so that they know what is going on from all angles. But why doesn't it surprise me, that it is not a literacy concept you would be familiar with. What I would suggest to you, is if you're going to commentary on open forums, do not attack others, it could come back and bite you in the cheeks - and unfortunately for you by a more formidable commentator. But you have made it unmistakably clear to us all, why you undoubtably be a JERESY HOUSEWIFE LOVER.
