Amber Tamblyn, 'House' Crew Team for New Project, Changes at 'NCIS: LA' and More

Amber Tamblyn may be checking out of 'House,' but the young starlet isn't preparing to leave the Fox family just yet.According to Deadline, Tamblyn is teaming with 'House' executive producer Katie Jacobs and 'The Wire' co-creartor Ed Burns for a project about a young public school teacher. The drama project has a script commitment from the network.
Jacbos and Tamblyn came up with the idea together while working on 'House,' and the duo brought in Burns to further develop the project together. Burns will write and Jacobs is set to direct.

• Adult Swim has ordered a pilot from Bob Odenkirk. The 'Breaking Bad' star will direct and produce 'Regal Productions,' a series that follows a low-budget production studio based out of a strip mall. [Deadline]
• Is 'NCIS: LA' getting a new operations manager? Claire Forlani has joined the cast on a recurring basis as Lauren Hunter, the team's new manager. What about Hetty? You'll have to watch and see. [Entertainment Weekly]
• Danny Glover has booked a guest role on 'Leverage.' Glover will guest as a retired war veteran who comes across a piece of art that has some mystery surrounding it. Glover will also narrate the majority of his episode. [TVLine]
• Just how did Audrina Patridge land her 'Hills' role? Well, she was laying by the pool when 'The Hills' producer Adam DiVello asked her to be on a reality show. "[Adam] came up to me and asked me if I wanted to be on a reality show," she said. "If it was 'Dismissed' or a dating show, I don't want to do that. At the time I was going on auditions and I wanted to do acting. He said, 'No, no, no, it's a documentary.' Lauren and Heidi are moving to LA and they need some LA friends." [Zap2It]
