Eddie Murphy wins Icon Award, 'The Comedy Awards'Tracy Morgan was a little bitter at 'The Comedy Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on Comedy Central) that he didn't win an award. "I can't win a comedy award at a comedy show," he said.

But he was honored to be presenting the first Comedy Icon Award to the comedian who inspired him to begin his own career in that field: Eddie Murphy.

"I love this man, and I recently found out he's my biological father," Morgan said in introducing Murphy.

Murphy was clearly moved by the award, accepting it despite dubbing it "an old man award." After 35 years in comedy, Murphy may be ready to accept himself as an old man, but we're not so sure. He looks the same as he did when we first met him on 'Saturday Night Live' in 1980.

In his acceptance speech, Murphy gave a shout-out to the greatest comedians of all time, citing Richard Pryor, Charlie Chaplin, Bill Cosby and George Carlin. It's illustrious company indeed, and we believe all four men would have received this award had it been available at the height of their success.

Cosby could still take a future installment. Maybe Tracy Morgan can look forward to an Icon award of his own, so he can follow in the footsteps of his "father".
